Luxury tourist resort JA Manafaru will expect a final quarter reopening in 2020.
As per the resort’s management, JA Manafaru will reopen welcoming tourists in October.
Moreover, the top-tier resort at Haa Alif atoll, the northern-most atoll of the country is reopening after the temporary closure amid Covid-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, much like the said property several other resorts expect to reopen to welcome travelers once again.
Meanwhile, during the press conference on Wednesday evening Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed made the confirmation of more than half of existing properties will reopen before 2020’s end.
As per Ministry of Tourism, Maldives currently has a total of 147 operational resorts.
Furthermore, several new properties remain under development.
Earlier, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the declaration of border reopening.
Moreover, the state’s restriction of international travel will lift on 15 July.
