The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Tuesday confirm commencement of design and build of Fuvahmulah City internal roads.
As such, the contractor affirm project’s commencement following transfer of excavators and cable junctions to project site.
Moreover, MTCC claims the project will development of 31 international roads of the city spanning an overall length of 15,932 meters.
MTCC further note scope of work for the project include sub-base preparation of 122,659 square meters.
Furthermore, it involves an asphalt wearing course of 95,239 square meters, footpath preparation of 27,450 square meters.
Additionally the project includes installation of road crossing, marking, signage and fixing streetlights.
MTCC will further work on a 19,940 meter area in installing storm water drainage.
Maldives government awarded the project on 4 July 2019 at a total of MVR279.4 million.
