MTCC confirm completion of major works of Addu City sewerage network

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Wednesday reveals completing major portions of the sewerage network project at Addu City.

Moreover, the project entails installation of sewerage network across Maradhoo-Feydhoo, Maradhoo and Feydhoo of the city.

Following completion of the project in an overall capacity, MTCC has handed over the remainder of the work to Fenaka Corporation.

Meanwhile, MTCC confirm works of sea outflow rectification at Addu atoll Feydhoo as their ongoing project.

Prior to the handover, a joint consultation team of the two companies had made assessments of the pumping stations, panel boards and transfer stations in the islands.

Under the project, MTCC installed 10,289 meters of piping for the sewerage system.

Additionally, the company installed 720 meters of sea outflow at Maradhoo’s transfer station.

Furthermore, MTCC team had trained employees of Fenaka Corporation in managing and operation the stations.

MTCC confirm the project value at MVR124 million, with full completion of the project slated for December 2020.
