Ministry of Tourism confirm over 10 resort properties will reopen before the end of 2020.
Moreover, the government body confirms approvals for reopening 13 tourist properties.
The properties are set to reopen in various points for the remainder of the current year.
Furthermore, two properties will reopen in the current month. Sirru Fen Fushi expects reopening on 17 October while Angaga Island Resort and Spa will reopen on 27 October.
Meanwhile, a total of 7 properties will reopen on 1 November which include Velassaru Maldives, Kuredu Island Resort, Baglioni Resort Maldives, The Standard Huravalhi Maldives, Vilamendhoo Island Resort, Huvafenfushi Resort and Spa and Constance Moofushi Resort.
Fushifaru Maldives will reopen on November as well, however the property will open on 10 November.
On the other hand, Kanuhura Maldives will reopen on 15 November.
According to the tourism ministry only one property will reopen on December; Sandies Bathala.
Additionally, a total of 9 tourist resorts are already in operation.
Earlier, several of tourist properties made confirmation of temporary closure due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Many of these properties were idle amid border closure which ran for nearly 3 months.
However, the tourism industry follow border reopening is attempting to recuperate on lost time.
