Russian carrier, Aeroflot plans to increase heir flight frequency to Maldives, suggests latest reports.
Moreover, the carrier will be bumping their direct flights per week from 2 to 4.
Russian Federation’s flagship carrier made resumption of direct flights to Maldives on 11 September.
Furthermore, Aeroflot’s direct flights make landing at Velana International Airport (VIA) on Thursdays and Sundays every week.
Earlier during September, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed directive to resume flight operations to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates with Maldives included as well.
Back in March 28, a day after Maldives, Russian government made full border closure announcement in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Russia reopened its borders on 1 August 2020.
Moreover, the country remains a strong tourist market to the Maldives tourism industry.
