Tourism Ministry approve 29 guesthouse reopening

Ministry of Tourism, as of 20 October 2020, approved a total of 29 guesthouse reopening.

Moreover, statistics from the ministry on Monday, 19 October, reveal reopening approvals for four different atolls.

A total of 29 guesthouses operating in Kaafu, Noonu, Vaavu and Alif Alif atoll will reopen on their scheduled dates.

In addition to this, a total of 15 guesthouses operating in Male’ and Hulhumale’ will reopen as transit facilities.

Meanwhile, the ministry statistics forecast a total of 119 tourist resorts becoming operational by 1 December 2020.

On the other hand a total of 117 tourist vessels; inclusive of safaris and liveaboards have become operational.

Total tourist arrivals from January until 18 October 2020 stood at 411,977.
