The second ‘leg’ of Girls to Code is set to commence under ‘Girls to Code – Thinadhoo’ with applicant registration window open.
Moreover, the program is a realization from the collaboration between Maldivian telecom and internet service provider giant Dhiraagu with Women In Tech.
Additionally, the tech program will be running virtually given current condition amid Covid-19 pandemic.
As per Dhiraagu and Women In Tech, the second program aiming to provide coding knowledge to girls will commence on 10 January 2021.
Girls between the ages 14 to 20 are eligible applicants for the program.
Moreover, the program is specific towards those with no prior coding knoweldge.
Dhiraagu notes the program with the aim of familiarizing girls toward coding will run for a duration of 2 months.
Earlier in 2019, the first ‘Girls to Code’ ran at Fuvahmulah City which was recipient to warm welcome from the community.
Meanwhile, Dhiraagu opens participation window via application link which will become due on 25 December 2020.
