MNPHI contracts MTCC for Muli Airport development

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracts Maldives Transport and Contracting Company for Muli airport development.

Earlier, on Sunday, 28 February 2021, both parties held official signing ceremony as precursor to the project.

Moreover, the contract will observe design and build of an airport at Meemu atoll Muli under helm of MTCC.

During the ceremony, the contractor company’s CEO Adam Azim bore signature on behalf of MTCC whereas Director General of MNPHI Ms. Fathimath Shaana Farooq bore signature on behalf of the government ministry.

Meanwhile, project scope entails reclamation operations of 14 hectares and coastal protection of 1,812 meters.

Additionally, MTCC construct a 1,200 meter by 30 meter runway, taxiway and an apron included.

MTCC affirms project total at MVR221.733 million, with a completion period of 365 days.
