Ooredoo Maldives during their latest Annual General Meeting sets out to pay dividend at MVR2.34 per share.
Moreover, dividends to shareholders are disbursed from the profit of previous fiscal year of 2020.
The annual general meeting saw proceedings take place through ‘FahiVote’ the online conferencing and meetings portal by Maldives Securities Depository.
Furthermore, at the AGM, Ooredoo made announcement of disbursing dividends from 85% of retained profits.
In 2020, the company’s net profit for the year stood at MVR407 million.
However, due to Covid-19 impact, earnings of the telecom company saw a dip by 15% from the year 2019.
Ooredoo Maldives further appointed PriceWaterhouseCooper (PwC) as their external auditing partner during the AGM.
Additionally, Ooredoo’s board made approval of both the annual report and audit report of 2020 at the AGM.
