Maldives state expenditure as of 04 March 2021 stood at MVR3,750.1 million (MVR3.8 billion).
Moreover, Ministry of Finance further attest the state revenue as of review period stood at MVR3,143.7 million (MVR3.1 billion).
As for expenditure composition, 76% of the total covers recurrent expenses and remaining 24% on capital expenditure.
On the other hand, 87% of the total revenue came through tax-sources while remaining 13% came through non-tax sources.
Ministry of Finance further reveal the overall balance for the period is a deficit of MVR606.4 million.
Meanwhile cumulative total of tax revenue stood at MVR2,748.8 million (MVR2.7 billion).
Furthermore, the cumulative total of non-tax revenue for the review period stood at MVR390.4 million.
