Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) signs with Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for new project at Addu City.
As such the contractor signs with the state body to upgrade the old harbor at Addu City Hithadhoo.
Meanwhile, Chief Exec Ahmed Azim born signature on the agreement on behalf of MTCC whereas Ms. Zeeniya Ahmed, Permanent Secretary of the ministry bore signature on behalf of the state.
Furthermore, scope of the project include excavation and dredging operations in 234,297 cubic meters with construction of an 800-meter breakwater.
Additional elements include construction of a 284-meter quay wall and 1,420 square meters of pavement.
Moreover, MTCC will install harbor lights and navigational aids as well.
The ministry attests the project total at MVR52.43 million with a 365-day work completion cycle.
