Spanish airline Iberia is gearing up to commence direct flights between Maldives and Spanish capital, Madrid.
Moreover, the airline will start these flights in July-August of 2021, with two weekly flights.
Javier Sanchez, Executive Chairman of Iberia comments the operations began due to the arrangements made by the country to travel.
Furthermore, the direct flight initiatives will act as loss recovery plans for the airline which saw economic bruises during summer of 2020.
Meanwhile, Maldivian health authorities put forth further easements for travelers, dropping the 96-hour negative PCR test upon completion of both Covid-19 doses.
Moreover, Maldives is preparing to commence ‘vaccine tourism’ as well.
Under this, arriving travelers will get the chance to vaccinate in Maldives.
Health authorities hint for future easements in travel and hospitality industry, in coming months.
