Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Sunday, 24 May 2021, reported overall 70% progress of Raa atoll Maduvvari south harbor project.
Moreover, the contractor affirms 79% completion of installing pre-cast concrete blocks required for the quay wall development, which is currently their ongoing component.
The project scope entails dredging 7,280 cubic meters in volume from the harbor channel and dredging of another 65,520 cubic meters from the harbor basin.
Furthermore, the project includes construction of a 411 meter breakwater along with a 566 meter quay wall.
Additionally, MTCC will install a 135 meter revetment and a 2,825 square meter paved area.
The contractor will expectedly install both navigation and street lights as part of the project as well.
