Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Wednesday, 09 June 2021, revealed progress of Haa Alif Dhihdhoo shore protection project.
Moreover, the contractor revealed that they were currently filling sand for the geo-bags which will be used as barriers.
The project scope entails backfilling of 7,750 cubic meters of sand and another 1,926 cubic meters of sand for filling the geo-bags.
MTCC will be developing a revetment spanning 310 meters in length as protection against coastal erosion.
Meanwhile, MTCC is active as a project contractor in multiple atolls carrying out various infrastructure developmental projects.
The state-owned enterprise reports the project value for Dhihdhoo shore protection is close to MVR10.02 million.
