Maldives head of state Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has officially inaugurated the asphalt laying works of Haa Dhaal Hanimaadhoo road project.
President Solih was at the ceremony held on Sunday morning, where he was flanked by state dignitaries as well as Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Adam Azim.
The road development project at Hanimaadhoo consists of laying asphalt on 20 of the island’s major roads which covers a total area of 44,000 square meters.
In addition to this, the developed roads will be installed with road markings along with sidewalks for pedestrians. MTCC will be developming a storm-water management system in order to avoid water floods or puddles due to extreme weather conditions.
