The front-man of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Mr. Adam Azim has visited the site of Shaviyani atoll Bilehfahi harbor development project to inspect the progress.
MTCC had on Sunday, 25 July, notified the media on their current progress notifying on the commencement of installing precast concrete blocks required for the quay wall. The structure will measure 98 meters upon completion.
Moreover, other components include dredging and excavation operations ranging 24,125 cubic meters along with the construction of a 376-meter breakwater; which will act as a synthetic barricade against seasonal waves and erosion.
Furthermore, other structures under the project include installation of a paved area spanning 1,150 square meters along with the installation of streetlights.
Meanwhile, the contractor reports the total value of the project reaches MVR28.42 million.
