Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fenfushi Resort by Accor has been officially opened in Shaviyani Atoll Gaakoshibee.

The 120-luxury villa with private pools resort is situated in one of the largest lagoons in the country. The resort also includes infinity pools and safari-style tented villas.

The Faimont Sirru Fenfushi hosts the first coral regeneration project in the Maldives.

Farimont Sirru Fenfushi comes with an underwater art installation by renowned artist Jason deCaires Taylor – placed at the centre of the island to offer a spectacular view for divers and snorkelers, the first ever underwater sculpture museum in the nation.

Home to manta rays, turtles, bottlenose and spinner dolphins, and the resort is committed to sustainable tourism and improving the wellbeing of the ecosystem – the resort will use desalinated water served in reusable bottles.

The resort villas are decorated with natural wood, stones, and metals and macramé art to offer a bohemian rustic chic vibe. The dining outlets at the resort include the all-day dining spot, Raha Market, the over-water Japanese restaurant, Kata, and seafood-focused fine dining over-water restaurant, Azure.

The Onu Onu bar in Fairmont Sirru Fenfushi has loungers and fire pits, and the Kata Roof Top Bar and Lounge offers a stunning view of the western side of the island.

The 2000 square-metre Willow Stream Spa at the resort also features the nature theme, with an Olympic-sized Jacuzzi, hand-carved wooden doors, and passages designed to let fresh sea air into the treatment rooms.
