Manta Air increases fleet capacity with new seaplane

Local airline, Manta Air has increased its fleet capacity with the recent inclusion of an additional seaplane.

Earlier, the airline had reported that the aircraft took off from Canada and will reach Maldives in a week’s duration. The aircraft made its landing sometime on Sunday evening, at Velana International Airport.

Moreover, Manta Air has confirmed that the plane will be fitted with floaters replacing the existing wheels along with the inclusion of water rudders.

With this inclusion, the airline’s seaplane fleet has increased to eight planes.

Manta Air officially launched their seaplane operations two years back, in November 2019 while they still maintain a strong domestic aviation operation; making frequent landings at various domestic airports.
