Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has given confirmation on the latest updates of Hulhumeedhoo MIFCO harbor development project.
As per the contractor, the dredging operations of the new harbor basin and the entrance channel are currently ongoing, while the areas are dredged to a depth of 8.5MSL (Mean Sea Level).
Furthermore, MTCC has attested their dredger ‘Jarraafaa 3’ is operational with the basin and entrance channel dredging around the clock under two shifts.
Moreover, the project scope includes dredging and excavation operations spanning 471,380 cubic meters with a reclamation operation of 1,788 cubic meters.
In addition to this, MTCC will construct a 97 meter long quay wall as part of the harbor project. Meanwhile, the project value is a total of MVR68.80 million.
