Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided the latest updates of the shore protection project in Haa Alif atoll Dhihdhoo.
Moreover, the contractor has confirmed that the work on the design and build of the shore protection structures at the island has observed an overall 73% progress.
As per MTCC, the project scope includes backfilling of 7,750 cubic meters of sand along with 1,926 cubic meters of sand for ge0 bag filling. In addition to this, the geo-bags will be used to construct a 310 meter geo-bag revetment to prevent coastal erosion.
Meanwhile, the project worth is reported at a total of MVR10.02 million as per MTCC.
