Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) confirms on the latest updates of the ferry terminal project at Haa Dhaal atoll Hanimaadhoo.
Furthermore, the contractor commenced foundation footing works of the terminal on 19 September, Sunday.
Hanimaadhoo’s ferry terminal developed by MTCC is part of the phase-1 of the “Integrated National Public Ferry Network Project” that will bridge the transportation gap between islands and atolls through a high-speed ferry network.
Moreover, the project is carried out in a total of three phases of which the first phase covers zone one which includes Haa Alif, Haa Dhaal and Shaviyani atolls.
MTCC reports that the integrated ferry network will introduce reliable and efficient passenger ferry services to all administrative islands that are affordable and convenient.
