Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) confirms on delivering the fourth shipment of precast concrete blocks to Addu City Hulhudhoo’s harbor site.
The precast concrete blocks are utilized in the construction of the quay wall structure in the island, which is part of the harbor development project in Hulhudhoo. Furthermore, MTCC confirms on delivering the shipment on 21 September, Tuesday.
Moreover, the contractor has reported that the installation of precast concrete blocks for the quay wall construction is ongoing with 56% completed already.
The harbor development project includes dredging and excavation operations of 88,623 cubic meters along with the construction of harbor structures including a breakwater, revetment and quay wall measuring 114 meters, 624 meters and 742 meters respectively.
Additionally, MTCC will construct a 2,250 square meter paved area and install street lights as well. The project value is a total of MVR66.3 million.
