MTCC signs agreement to establish Maritime Survival Center

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed an agreement with Maldives National University (MNU) to establish a Maritime Survival Center in the country.

Furthermore, the signing took place on Wednesday, 23 December 2021 with the Chief Executive Officer of MTCC Adam Azim signing on behalf of the company and Dr. Mohamed Shareef, the Vice Chancellor of the university signing on behalf of MNU.

Moreover, project involves 1,200 cubic meters of land filling operations along with the construction of a 35 meter sheet pile quay wall and a 27.25 meter L-section quay wall.

Additionally, the establishment of the survival center includes development of a 4.2×4-meter ramp as well as the installation of mooring bollards.

Meanwhile, the value of the development of the maritime survival center is reportedly MVR4.59 million while the project is estimated for completion within 210 days.
