Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) signed an agreement with Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (MNPHI) for two large-scale projects in the northern Shaviyani atoll.
Under the agreement, MTCC has been contracted with the shore protection rectification project of Komandoo and the connectivity project of Mathi-Komandoo.
MTCC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Adam Azim had signed the agreement on behalf of the corporation while the Deputy DG Mr. Anwar Ali signed on behalf of the state.
Project scope includes reclamation operations spanning to 16.7 hectares of land area and the construction of several structures including a 1520-meter revetment and another 112 meters of geo-bag revetment.
In addition to this, MTCC will construct 353 meters of groynes and a 200-meter bridge. The project cost is valued at a total of MVR240.90 million while the contractor is expected to complete with project within 730 days.
