Baarah constituency MP inaugurates Muraidhoo harbor development project

Baarah constituency parliamentarian Ahmed Abdulla has officially inaugurated the commencement of the harbor development project in Haa Alif Muraidhoo.

The harbor development project in one of the upper-Northern atoll islands include construction of a 212-meter quay wall along with a 407-meter breakwater and a 107-meter repair work of the existing breakwater structure.

In addition to these, the project contractor, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) will construct a 105-meter revetment and a 50-meter groynes structure.

Moreover, the project scope includes dredging operations of harbor and channel along with the construction of a ramp and a walkway bridge. Apart from structure construction, MTCC will install navigation and harbor lights.

According to the contractor, the project value is a total of MVR33.72 million.
