Finance Ministry Seeks Low-Interest Loans from ADB for Development Projects

Ministry of Finance and Treasury has held discussions with Asian Development Bank (ADB) to seek low-interest loans for development projects in the Maldives.

Finance Minister Ahmed Munawar held discussions with ADB’s President Takehiko Nakao during ADB’s 51st Annual Meeting at Manila, Philippines.

The Ministry stated that Minister Munawar also met with ADB’s Vice President Wencai Zhang and Director General Hun Kim. During the meetings, ADB assured funds for development projects, according to Finance Ministry.

ADB has provided numerous grants and low-interest loans to the Maldives’ development projects.
