According to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), the harbor development project of Raa atoll Angolhitheem has drawn to completion.
The contractor on Thursday, 17 March revealed that the project was currently at an overall 92% completion while the construction of the breakwater component concluded recently.
The harbor project includes dredging and excavation operations of 42,615 cubic meters of sand, construction of a 221 meters breakwater; which was completed recently, along with the construction of a 166 meters revetment, and a 91 meters quay wall.
In addition to this, MTCC will install 1,100 square meters of the paved area as well as install both the harbor and navigation lights.
The value of the harbor project is MVR40.7 million.
