Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) officially commences Raajje Transport Link (RTL) services in Haa Dhaal atoll on Sunday, 12 June.

The transport and contracting company led RTL services fall under MTCC’s nationwide Integrated National Public Ferry Network project. Under the project MTCC will link residential atolls through a network of high-speed ferries.

With its initiation, the RTL ferry service will operate between 13 of Haa Dhaal atoll’s inhabited islands through five routes.

MTCC had launched a trial run of the service earlier on 02 May for public familiarization during which services were free of charge.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure which had contracted the project to MTCC confirms customers will now be able to book tickets via the designated application available on both App Store and Google Play.

According to MTCC, tickets for one-way trips range between MVR30 to MVR100 while return tickets range between MVR60 to MVR200.
