Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) launched a new destination marketing campaign focusing on the French traveler market.
The new campaign initiative run in collaboration with French based Veepee kicked off on June 13, and will last for ten days.
With the joint campaign the top tourism promoter of the Maldives will promote various tourism products of the island nation including tourist resorts and guesthouses along with other tourism avenues.
The marketing initiative aims to highlight on the unique tourism experiences available for travelers arriving in the Maldives.
With the help of Veepee, MMPRC expects to reach an organic audience of 3 million visitors on the former’s website. In addition to this, Veepee will mail destination information to a total of nine million members.
The campaign is in line with the tourism promoter’s marketing strategy of maintaining destination momentum in the French traveler market inclusive of all affluent segments.
France is considered among the top ten source markets to the Maldives with travelers from the European country contributing 3.6% of the market share in 2022 which translates to 28,904 arrivals so far in 2022.
