Joali Maldives on Monday has temporarily closed for repairs, of the connecting platform damaged due to bad weather conditions.
Reports confirm a rainstorm and strong gusts damaged the platform connecting the in-land with the overwater villas. Despite damages to the structure, the report confirms no one was injured.
All guests at the resort have been relocated to the ‘Joali Being’ resort in Raa Atoll Bodufushi and renovation work is underway, the resort said.
The resort is set to reopen in September after a complete renovation.
Joali Maldives operated in Raa Atoll Muruvandhoo, is located 45 minute sea plane ride from the capital Male’. With 73 resort was villas, the resort was opened in 2018.
