Local businesses make USD1.8 mil through Authentic Maldives


Business Center Corporation (BCC) reveals local businesses collectively made a combined revenue of USD1.8 million through Authentic Maldives.

Authentic Maldives, an initiative by the BCC, provides ample platform for small businesses to sell and market local products.

The promoter-retail outlet has become one of BCC’s most successful SME development project, with over 160 local suppliers.

First Authentic Maldives outlet was opened at Velana International Airport (VIA) in January 2020, after which the second outlet was opened at the Hulhumale’ Centro Mall in November of the same year.

A third Authentic Maldives outlet was opened in Male’ City in March 2021, while the first outlet in a tourist resort was opened in October 2021 at Kuda Vilingili Resort.

The most recent outlet was opened in CROSSROADS Maldives in July 2022, featuring over 70 unique local suppliers.
