MBR, Wob Partners Up

Women on Board (WoB) has partnered up with Maldives Business Review.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in a ceremony by MBR Editor in Chief Ahmed Asbaab and Women on Board Vice President, Associate Professor Dr. Aishath Muneeza.

Under the agreement, WoB will authorize MBR to use key data and information to be published with the purpose of sharing this information to international community and general public of Maldives, while maintaining accuracy in data and information. WoB will also inform if any changes are to be made to any information published.

MBR will publish data and information provided by WoB, with the provision to make changes in presentations to make it more understandable to the public. MBR will also run features and news articles on request from WoB and special events of WoB on all channels of MBR to viewers with the purpose of promoting Maldives and its economy in international and local community with the emphasis on empowering women.

Speaking to MBR after signing, MBR Editor in Chief Ahmed Asbaab reported that he hoped this partnership would be a beneficial one to both parties. He further noted that this partnership with WoB will ensure a richer content would be delivered to the readers of MBR.

WoB was founded by Former Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Market Development Authority Ms. Fathimath Shafeega and the former Director General of the Capital Market Development Authority, Ms. Azleema Ahmed.

Founders of WOB are strong advocates for Corporate Governance and believes in the benefits of gender diversity on Boards.

WOB (NGO) was registered at the Ministry of Home Affairs as a non-profit organization on 13 January 2015, and is funded mainly through membership fees, earnings from activities such as training/seminars and also from services provided to establishments in improving governance and gender diversity.
