MMPRC launches outdoor campaign to advertise Maldives in Switzerland

Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched an outdoor advertising campaign in key locations in Switzerland.

According to the corporation, the campaign will be conducted from 12th September till 9th October 2022 with the aim of boosting the Maldives’ brand visibility and destination awareness in the Swiss markets.

“For the duration of this campaign, advertisements showcasing the beauty of the Maldives will be posted on billboards and digital screens in two major locations in Zurich for a duration of four weeks. The advertisements are estimated to reach millions of views each month. In addition to the natural splendor of the Maldives islands, the advertisements will also inform potential visitors of the exciting experiences available to Swiss visitors in the Maldives,” MMPRC said.

With 22,751 arrivals as of September 14, 2022, the Swiss market is one of the top-performing source markets for visitors to the Maldives this year. In order to maintain destination presence and visibility and boost arrivals from this market, MMPRC had been hosting a number of activities targeted at the market. This includes; familiarization trips, online advertising, and a print advertising campaign with Falstaff.

MMPRC carried out 260 distinct marketing activities in 22 international markets in 2021, including trade exhibits, roadshows, familiarization tours, marketing campaigns, webinars, and interviews.

Maldives also won the title of “World’s Leading Destination” at the 2021 World Travel Awards for a second consecutive year, which is regarded as the gold standard of the travel industry
