Island Aviation Service (IAS) has assured that their cargo services will see a drastic improvement after designating Maldives Post as their subsidiary.
Head of Administration, Ali Nashaath Hameed reported to local media sources that this new subsidiary will benefit their cargo operations the most.
Noting their shared synergies in cargo services, Nashaath said this move will only add a bonus to their services.
A statement released by Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) stated that IAS had undergone several changes to their organization. With these changes, 99 percent of shares of Post Limited was transferred to IAS, with the remaining one percent transferred to Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL).
Post Limited currently runs operations in 14 atolls in the country. IAS, the parent company of the national carrier Maldivian, was formed in 2000.
