Visitor Stay Increases by 14.9 percent

Tourist bed-night figures for the year up to April shows an increase of 14.9 percent, says Tourism Ministry.

Statistics published by the Ministry showed that in the first four months of this year, tourists had spent a combined total of 3,522,497 days in the country.

This figure, as stated before, is an increase of 14.9 percent compared to the same period a year before. Last year, tourists had spent a combined total of 3,065,469 days. Average stay has increased from 6.4 day to 6.5 days.

From 37,237 beds by end of April 2017, the number of beds had also increased to 41,076.
By end of April 2017, 478,827 tourists had visited the country. This year, the figure is at 539,816.

China topped arrivals at 15,093 arrivals, followed by UK at 10,866 arrivals and Russia with 6,433 arrivals.
