Haa Alif Atoll Council to award funds for social programs


Haa Alif Atoll Council has decided to award funds to seven islands to implement social programs and various projects.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Council has stated they will be awarding MVR 100,000 to each island. The purpose of the funds is to implement social programs and projects in the islands.

The announcement invites proposals from those who wish to implement social programs and various projects that will benefit the people. Proposals should be submitted by 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 27. Proposal forms are available on the council’s website.

The council said the funds will be allocated to the seven islands that submit the best proposals. Accordingly, the funds will be distributed to the island council offices, women’s development committees, government institutions and registered clubs and associations in the islands in the atoll.
