Manta Air seeks 12 additional seaplanes

Manta Air is seeking to acquire additional aircrafts for a major expansion.

According to reports, the private airlines is seeking 12 DHC6 Twin Otters. The additional 12 DHC6 Seaplane Twin Otters will double the carrier’s existing seaplane fleet and would also double its seaplane operational edge over national carrier Maldivian.

The carrier is expecting delivery of the additional aircraft throughout 2023 and 2024.

Expression of interest for the acquisition should be forwarded before 12:00 PM on January 15, 2023.

Manta Air also operates 3 ATR 72-600 and 1 Beechcraft B1900D on regional flights within the Maldives with plans to add international flights in the future. The airline currently operates to three regional airports and 30 resorts.
