State education policy seeks to prepare students for 21st century; VP

Maldives Vice President Faisal Naseem on Wednesday, December 14, said the current administration’s education policy sought to prepare students for the 21st century.

He made the remarks at the function held to inaugurate Iskandar School’s “STEM Fair 2022”.

Vice President highlighted the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in development children’s knowledge and skills. He also spoke about the involvement of children in practical activities requiring problem-solving to nurture their abilities.

At the function, VP Naseem further made emphasis on the priority attached by the current administration towards development of education sector. He concluded his remarks noting that success can be achieved through hard work and determination.

The Maldives VP also urged parents and teachers to collaborate in order provide inclusive education children.

Iskandar School’s STEM Fair 2022 features 186 innovative projects submitted by students from key stages 1-4. The fair will close on Thursday, December 15.
