Debuting the revitalized brand at the ILTM Cannes, the official relaunch is set for April 2023.

This new trajectory comes with a simplified name and fresher visual identity for for parent brand. Following this revamp, each resort has been repositioned behind a unique resort concept, with improved products and elevated services.

The new Villa Resorts brand will relaunch next year along with its official website, designed and built by Journey. Additionally, two of the hotelier brand’s resorts will transform as well.

Paradise Island will transform into Villa Nautica, a maritime celebration of quayside life. Sun Island will transform into Villa Park, a lush and never-ending lagoon pleasure ground teeming with experiences.

Meanwhile, the rooms, restaurants and public areas in these properties have been upgraded and refurbished with stunning interiors by London-based design studio House Nine.

Additionally, F & B concepts have undergone comprehensive modernization under the guidance and training of Food Concepts 360 led by Michelin-starred Irish chef Conrad Gallagher.

In 2023 fourth quarter, the Villa Resorts’ Holiday Island will reopen as the group’s luxury flagship, Villa Haven after a complete makeover. The hotelier brand also confirms that by late 2025, Royal Island will transform into Villa Village, a resort celebrating authentic Maldivian culture.

In 2027, Fun Island is scheduled to reopen as Villa Eden, a luxury eco-resort.

Speaking about this significant transformation, Managing Director of Villa Shipping and Trading Company Ibrahim Siyad Qasim said, “Today, we open a new chapter in the history of our proudly Maldivian resort company; a company that was founded by my father almost four decades ago.”

“In 2019, with the guidance and support of our partner, Luxury Branding, we embarked on Project Blue Ocean, an ambitious top to bottom, inside to out transformation of our business. It represents a shift from competing towards creating, and signals my aspiration to lead our company to new levels of guest satisfaction and growth. I am honoured to be stewarding Villa Resort through its next chapter of development and, together with my siblings, proud to introduce our company and welcome you into our family” Ibrahim added.
