TMA confirms system issue fully resolved

Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) confirms the system issue which led to hundreds of travelers becoming stranded in the Velana International Airport (VIA), has been fully resolved.

The largest seaplane operator in the world confirmed its development on Monday, January 02, 2023.

TMA suffered a malware attack on its check-in system on Saturday, which led to its flight operations becoming disrupted. Several resort-bound tourists were stranded in the airport venue unable to reach their destinations.

To ensure upkeep, TMA resorted to manual check-ins to send the stranded travelers to their holiday venues. An official speaking from VIA had attested manual approach was slower but was necessary until systems returned to normalcy.
