Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed two development projects.
According to MTCC, it recently completed the harbor and channel dredging project in Sh. Noomaraa and the shore protection project in B. Dharavandhoo.
The scope of the harbor and channel dredging project consisted of dredging 6,347 cubic meters. The harbor channel has become shallow with accumulated sand, collected due to strong tidal waves. The project aimed to rectify this, and create safer berthing for the vessels.
The scope of the shore protection project consisted of the construction of a 470 meters breakwater, 96 meters of revetment, and beach filling with 10,800 cubic meters of sand.
