Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to undertake the Coastal Protection Project in Raa Atoll Vaadhoo.
The agreement was signed by CEO Adam Azim on behalf of MTCC and Director General Fathimath Shaana Farooq on behalf of Planning Ministry on Tuesday, January 17.
The scope of the project consist of construction of 275 metres of groynes at the south-east beach area of Vaadhoo which has been impacted by soil erosion resulting in various damages.
The project worth MVR 13.45 million is contracted to be completed within 300 days. The project is set to commence following an environment impact assessment.
