Tourist arrivals up by 22.8%; Maldives attracts over 97k already!

Tourist arrivals to the Maldives as of January 18 reached over 97,000, reports the Ministry of Tourism.

According to the ministry’s latest statistics, tourist arrivals reached a total of 97,873 by the review date in annual terms, which is a 22.8% increment from the same period in 2022.

Tourist arrivals to the Maldives during the same period last year reached 79,718. In 2021, the arrivals for the corresponding period stood at just 52,943.

The daily arrival average is currently at 5,437 and the average duration of stay is at 8.2 days.
