The Maldives government has broken ground for the development of 100 housing units in Lh. Hinnavaru.
The State Minister of Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Akram Kamaluddin officiated the groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday evening. Hinnavaru MP Jeehaan Mahumood and the island’s council members joined as well.
The government contracted Dhonbeyz Private Limited to design and build the housing project in July 2022. The project’s total value is MVR 84 million, and completion period is one year.
The project scope involves building 50 two-storey row houses of 700 square feet and 50 single-storey units of 1,000 square feet. The units will have three bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a dining area, laundry, and a storeroom.
