JOALI Maldives announced its partnership with renowned art consultant and curator Tatiana Gecmen-Waldek to host an art festival along with several other experiences.
Austrian-born Gecmen-Waldek has worked with several notable brands including Giorgio Armani, Etro, Roger Vivier, Cartier, Maison Kitsuné, and others.
During her stay, Gecmen-Waldek will be “discovering, presenting, and commissioning contemporary artists” for JOALI Maldives who will bring their work to the island in the form of exhibitions, limited editions, or permanent installations.
JOALI Maldives also announced the inaugural Imagi-Nature Art Festival scheduled from April 14 to 18 where guests can get creative and participate in a variety of activities.
The resort also invites guests to participate in World Art Day celebrations on April 15, which will be held as part of the festival. As part of the day’s celebration, JOALI Maldives will invite artists from all over the world to “create bespoke pieces inspired by the surrounding nature, with each immersive artwork created to engage, ignite, and free the imagination”.
JOALI Maldives further said the Imagi-Nature Art Festival is curated for art enthusiasts of all colors to experience “art in all its glory”.
