FSM to add two new fuel barges to fleet

Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) has said it will be adding two new fuel barges to its fleet soon.

Mohamed Gasam, the Managing Director of FSM said that the addition of these two new vessels will improve their fuel supply operations.

Back in 2019, FSM signed with an Egyptian firm for the development and commissioning of four fuel supply vessels. Two of these have already been added to the fleet, while the other remaining two have cross Suez Canal and are on their way to the Maldives.

The two newest vessels carry the capacity of storing 180,000 liters of diesel and between 40,000 to 60,000 liters of petrol.

FSM is the main fuel supplier in the Maldives with a fleet of 20 barges. The company supplies over 1 million liters of fuel across the Maldives daily.
