Manta Air adds another seaplane to fleet

Local carrier, Manta Air has added another DHC6 Twin Otter seaplane to its growing fleet.

The latest member, a DHC6-300 Twin Otter MSN239 first rolled out in 1969.

The Twin Otter began its ferry flight from Florida, USA on April 13. The plane is currently in Jordan and expects arrival to Maldives in the coming days.

Upon arrival, the aircraft will be equipped with floats and operate with Manta Air as flight 8Q-RAQ.

Manta Air last year announced that the carrier will be adding 12 additional DHC6 Twin Otters in a bid to double its current fleet.
