Dhivehi Expo Services and CDC Events have announced the return of the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) “Global Culinary Challenge & Exhibition”, scheduled from May 8 to 10 at Hulhumale’ Central Park.

Regarded as one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for the Maldives tourism and hospitality industry, FHAM provides a unique platform and opportunity for local vendors and businesses to exhibit their products and services and interact with potential customers and clients.

The event will attract both local and foreign exhibitors, buyers and suppliers to explore the latest trends, services, products, and innovations in the tourism sector.

According to the organizers, this year’s event will feature over 500 chefs from more than 40 tourist resorts, hotels, and restaurants in the Maldives and the surrounding South Asian and Asian regions representing 11 different nationalities in the “Chefs Competing for Honours”; the global culinary challenge supported and endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).

Four “A” grade judges and over 15 international judges, including presidents from eight Chef Guilds will oversee the competition.

FHAM has also arranged several parallel events including a mocktail challenge, a barista championship, and a housekeeping and bed decoration competition to celebrate other services in the tourism sector.
