Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched a radio marketing campaign to promote the country’s tourism in Indian market.
The campaign will run from April until May end with the aim to strengthen Maldives’ brand in the Indian market.
According to MMPRC, the campaign will run in two phases, covering 10 major cities in India.
- Phase 1: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, and Trivandrum
- Phase 2: New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Amritsar
The campaign will run on major radio stations in India such as Radio Mirchi, Red FM, Suryan FM, Radio Mango, and MY FM.
During the campaign, different experiences and information about the destination will be disseminated, and the campaign will target 18 to 50 year old potential travelers.
India was the top source market to the Maldives in 2022 with a total of 241,369 annual arrivals; 14.4% market share. Meanwhile, as of May 10, 2023 a total of 80,605 tourists have arrived from India, making it the second strongest market to the Maldives.
