Maldives has welcomed more than 750,000 tourists as of May 15, 2023, reported the Ministry of Tourism.
The ministry in their latest statistical update confirmed that the total tourist arrivals from January 1 to May 15 stood at 751,101; which is a 16.7% increase from the same period in 2022 during which arrivals stood at 643,742.

Although tourist arrivals observed an increment in annual terms, the arrivals from May 1 to 15, which stood at 62,816, observed a decline of 6.2% from the 66,938 arrival total for the same period last year.
